Sottunga

Parish Records

HisKi project findings were used as a starting point to identify parish villages. 9 Then Parish Communion Records of 1827 – 1851 were used. 10  However, these parish records were  difficult to interpret.  So, next the Table of Contents from the book “Familjer och gårdar i Sottunga” by Bjorn Ronnlof, Alands Slaktregister1 and Land Records 11 were used to confirm village and identify farm names.

Because parish Communion records are listed by village and farm name and because farm names often were used as a part of a person’s name, it is interesting to note the following farms.
